The Piedmont Wood Carvers Club was formed in 1988 in Greenville, South Carolina. It was established to offer wood carvers, sculptors, and whittlers in the Carolinas area a structured organization to foster and transmit the various forms of woodcarving.
Throughout the year we sponsor:
- Weekly carving opportunities
- Woodcarving instruction taught both by club members and outside instructors
- Social gatherings
- A show and competition
- Visits to public libraries, festivals, and civic organizations to promote woodcarving and offer carving seminars
